Anita
Ashford-Trotter began as an artist at the age of two, when she took
up a crayon and coloured on her mother's wall-paper.Her mum was not
too pleased, but her talent has been a part of her whole life.
Born
in Lubbock, Texas, Anita lives in the beautiful Pacific Northwest
, Washington, USA. She gained her B.A.
in Art from the University of Washington. Her art has been exhibited
in the Pacific Northwest Arts/Crafts Show, Northwest Pastel Society
Show, the Inaugural Arts Edge at the Seattle Center, Foolscap in Seattle
and MosCon, in Idaho. Her art work has been published, and is also
exhibited in the Eisteddfod Arts of the OBOD web site. Anita is a member
of SCBWI (Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators) and
ASFA (Association of Science Fiction & Fantasy Artists) http://www.asfa-art.org/l_artists.html.
Her work has been published in the online

, and also the magazine The Beltane Papers.
Anita's favorite mediums are Watercolors/guache, linoleum prints
and monoprints/watercolors, pencil, pen and oils, and digital computer
graphics, as well as sculpture in clay. She also likes to paint with
words, and is a published poet. Anita is also a member of ASFA (The
Association of Science Fiction and Fantasy Artists), since 1998.
